    Description

    Property Notice Posting Coordinator

    About This Role

Homes First is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented volunteer to help us maintain compliance with local landlord-tenant law by posting required notices at our rental properties. This is a meaningful, behind-the-scenes role that directly supports our tenants' right to be informed and helps keep our housing programs running smoothly and legally.

    What You'll Do

As a Property Notice Posting Coordinator, you will travel between Homes First properties to post official notices in accordance with required timelines. You'll be a key part of keeping our organization in compliance and ensuring our tenants receive important communications in a timely manner.

    Responsibilities

    • Drive to Homes First properties to post notices as directed by staff
    • Follow specific posting instructions and document completion as required
    • Maintain strict confidentiality of all tenant information encountered during visits
    • Communicate availability and confirm scheduling with the Homes First team

    Time Commitment

Postings occur at various points throughout the year, with a minimum of once per quarter. Schedules vary and may require availability on short notice. This is a flexible, event-based role — not a fixed weekly commitment.

    Requirements

    • Valid driver's license and reliable personal vehicle
    • Ability to pass a background check (required before beginning service)
    • Strong commitment to tenant privacy and confidentiality
    • Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
    • Familiarity with the local area is a plus

    Why It Matters

Proper notice posting isn't just a legal formality — it's a critical part of respecting and protecting the people in our care. By volunteering in this role, you're helping Homes First uphold its commitment to dignified, transparent, and legally sound housing.

To apply or learn more, please contact volunteer@homesfirst.org. Homes First is an equal opportunity organization and welcomes volunteers from all backgrounds.
