    Description

    Maple Syrup Production

The ODC Network uses the sugarbush at VanRaale Farm in Holland to run programs about maple syrup. The Sugarbush Volunteer group has helped maintain syrup production while allowing ODC Staff to continue with maple sugar programming. Sugarbush volunteers are responsible for all aspects of maple syrup production from cleaning equipment and setting up the sugarbush to boiling, finishing and bottling pure maple syrup. This commitment is a bit shorter than other volunteer opportunities as the season usually runs early to mid-February through early April.
