    Description

    Board Members Needed!

On The Road with PartnerCafe is looking for potential new Board Members!

    Overview:

We are small nonprofit, still going through some growing pains, but we are excited and ready to add new fresh voices to our Board of Directors! Experienced professionals are preferred, but we are also willing to work with anyone who is willing to learn and fully participate even if you have no prior experience being on a Board of Directors.

As a member of the board, you will play a crucial role in providing strategic guidance and oversight to our organization's leadership. We are seeking individuals who are passionate about our mission and can bring diverse perspectives and expertise to the table.

Depending on what committees roles are open, a handful of our board members are tasked with chairing committees and taking the lead on committee projects to help us achieve our organizational goals. We have committees for the following:

    • Volunteering
    • Marketing & Communication
    • Fundraising
    • Community Outreach

    Key Responsibilities

    • Strategic Planning: Collaborate with the executive team and fellow board members to set the organization's long-term vision, goals, and strategies.
    • Financial Oversight: Review and approve the annual budget, monitor financial performance, and ensure fiscal responsibility.
    • Governance: Uphold the organization’s mission, values, and policies, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.
    • Performance Monitoring: Evaluate the performance of the CEO and senior leadership, providing constructive feedback and support.
    • Ambassadorship: Serve as an advocate for the organization, leveraging your network and influence to support fundraising and partnership opportunities.

    Qualifications

    • Proven experience in a senior leadership role, such as CEO, CFO, or a similar executive position.
    • Strong understanding of corporate governance, financial management, and strategic planning.
    • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
    • A strong commitment to our organization's mission and values.
    • Previous board experience is a plus, but not required.

    Time Commitment

Our board is a WORKING board, so our expectation is that you will be able to commit to a minimum of 2-3 hours per week contributing to projects and helping us reach our goals. There may be additional committe meetings, events, and sepcial occations where your presence is requested.

Our Board of Directors currently meets every other month via zoom. We have an optional check-in meeting during the months we do not have an offical board meeting, so that the team can check in and ask questions.

The typical time commitment is approximately 5-10 hours per month.
