    About The Activism Network

The Activism Network (TAN) is a nonprofit organization working to end needless suffering, address urgent crises and systemic issues, and promote human rights, dignity, and equity for all.

We work across a range of causes, including environmental protection, social justice, human rights, political reform, and other areas outlined in our Declaration of Virtues (DOV).

    About the Role

Volunteers will help develop TAN’s DOV (declaration of virtues) Master Research Paper by breaking broad virtues into specific issues, goals, and potential solutions. For example, a topic like ending child marriage may be broken down into its underlying problems, relevant organizations and potential partners, and possible strategies for addressing the issue.

This is an initial brainstorming and research process, intended to map out the major issues and opportunities within each virtue rather than produce fully developed research papers or finalized campaigns.

    Responsibilities

    • Break broad virtues into specific issues, goals, and sub-virtues using TAN’s Google Docs template.
    • Conduct preliminary basic research to identify key problems, contributing factors, and potential solutions.
    • Identify relevant organizations, potential partners, and existing initiatives.
    • Brainstorm possible strategies, campaigns, and approaches TAN could pursue.
    • Document findings and ideas clearly and consistently within the provided template.
    • Aim to complete 1–3 sub-virtues per week, adjusting as needed.

    Qualifications

    • Strong interest in social issues, systemic change, and TAN’s Declaration of Virtues.
    • Able to conduct basic research, organize information, and brainstorm potential solutions.
    • Willingness to collaborate and contribute ideas across a range of causes.
    • Volunteers must have and use a Discord account.
    • Volunteers must live in the United States.

Previous experience is welcome but not required!

    Future Opportunities

This role can serve as a starting point for deeper involvement with TAN. Volunteers may have opportunities to help develop promising ideas into detailed research, campaigns, partnerships, and real-world initiatives, depending on their interests and the organization’s priorities.
