    Description

    Volunteer Responsibilities

    Volunteers will work with students in grades K–5 or 6–8 on a one-on-one basis or in small groups. Support may include answering questions on academic subjects and helping students better understand course material.

    • Academic Support: 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
    • Enrichment & Crafts: 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.

    During the summer, there will be occasional field trips. Volunteers may choose to participate as chaperones.

    Qualifications

    • Strong communication skills
    • Ability to work with students from diverse backgrounds and varying skill levels
    • Patience, positivity, consistency, and friendliness
    • Enthusiasm for learning and helping students discover their own interests
    • Willingness to encourage and demonstrate understanding
