    Description

Organization: The Cat Sanctuary — A 501(c)(3) Cat Rescue Location: Eugene, Oregon (Remote/Virtual — work from anywhere) Positions Available: Up to 5 volunteers Time Commitment: 2-3 hours per week, flexible scheduling Minimum Commitment: 6 months preferred

    About the Role

Behind every cat we rescue, every foster placement we make, and every adoption we celebrate is a team of dedicated people keeping the details accurate, organized, and up to date. Our Administrative Support Volunteers are the quiet engine that keeps our rescue running — and their work is every bit as lifesaving as the hands-on care our cats receive. Without accurate records, timely data, and well-maintained systems, we simply cannot operate at the level our animals deserve. This is a fully remote position, making it an ideal opportunity for detail-oriented individuals who want to make a real difference for cats in the Eugene community without leaving home.

We are building a small team of up to five Administrative Support Volunteers, each of whom may focus on different areas of need depending on their skills and availability. Whether you have a background in office administration, data management, research, or writing — or simply have strong organizational instincts and a willingness to learn — we want to hear from you.

Social Media Assistant Coordinator & Team Member (Virtual)

Location: Remote | Time Commitment: 2-5 hours per week

Social media posts, eye-catching graphics, and strategic marketing help cats get seen by the right people — boosting adoptions, recruiting volunteers, and inspiring donations. As one of our assistant Social Media Coordinators, you'll be the online voice of our rescue, sharing the stories of cats in our care with the Eugene community and beyond. This is a fully remote role that makes an enormous difference in how quickly our cats find homes.

You will manage and post content across platforms (primarily Instagram and TikTok), create or curate graphics and short videos, write engaging adoption bios, coordinate with foster volunteers to gather photos and updates, and help grow our follower community. Ideal candidates have experience with content creation, can develop creative video ideas, and understand how to craft persuasive copy to promote cat adoption and support fundraising efforts while ensuring consistent brand messaging. A love of cats and basic familiarity with social media platforms is a must; graphic design skills (Canva is fine) are a plus but not required. You will be part of a very collaborative team.
