Help feed the Chico Community! Weekly perishable food packing and distribution.

Are you looking for a fulfilling way to give back to your community and help those facing hardships? The Salvation Army is seeking dedicated volunteers like you to be part of our incredible food distribution initiative, which feeds approximately 230 families each week. Every Tuesday, we pack bags of perishable items and distribute them to the local families who rely on our assistance. Food packing is from 10am until about 1pm. Then, between 2pm-4pm, we get to bless the families by distributing the bags to them. As a volunteer, you'll be at the forefront of our efforts to combat hunger and ensure that families in need receive the nourishment they deserve!

2 shifts available:

• Tuesday Mornings - Sort food and pack food bags: 10:00 to 1:00
• Tuesday Afternoons- Help hand out food bags to the families that we serve: 1:45 to 4:00.
