    Description

    Lenox Hill Neighborhood House, widely recognized as one of New York's premier human services providers is a 132-year-old settlement house that provides an extensive array of effective and integrated services, which significantly improve the lives of 17,000 people in need each year on the East Side of Manhattan. We are seeking volunteers to teach English as a Second Language classes from April 6 - June 12, 2026. Our English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) program offers high quality, interactive language instruction to a diverse student body. We seek to increase students' language skills, confidence in speaking and comprehension of English.

    Volunteers are needed to teach a Beginner Level class for adult students on either Monday and Wednesday, 9:30am-12:00pm or Tuesday and Thursday, 1:00-3:00pm. Classes are taught at 331 East 70th Street in Manhattan.
