    Description

Do you love American history, storytelling, and creating content that actually reaches people?

Tax Project Institute is looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help develop engaging content tied to America's 250th anniversary. This is a chance to work on a mission-driven public education effort focused on history, citizenship, government, and the story of how America was built - and where it is headed next.

We are looking for creative volunteers who want real experience building content that can be seen by audiences across the country. This role is especially well suited for early-career creatives, students, aspiring media professionals, and anyone building a portfolio in content, communications, or digital storytelling.

You will help turn important historical and civic themes into compelling modern content across digital formats, including social media, short-form video, scripts, and written copy.

    What you may work on:

    • Short-form video concepts and scripting
    • Social media content creation
    • Caption and copywriting
    • Storyboarding and creative concept development
    • Historical storytelling for modern audiences
    • Educational and promotional content tied to America's 250th Celebration
    • Research-supported scripts, posts, and narrative content
    • Campaign ideas that make history feel relevant, engaging, and shareable

We are especially interested in volunteers with skills or interest in:

    • Short-form video creation
    • Script writing
    • Copywriting
    • Storytelling
    • Social media content strategy
    • Historical research or interest in U.S. history
    • Creative development for digital campaigns

Who this is a great fit for:

    • Students or recent graduates
    • Early-career content creators
    • Social media specialists building experience
    • Writers and storytellers interested in public history
    • Creatives who want portfolio-worthy work tied to a meaningful national milestone

    Why this is exciting:

    • Work on content connected to America's 250th anniversary
    • Help shape public-facing educational and storytelling materials
    • Build a strong portfolio with real-world, mission-driven work
    • Gain experience in content development, digital media, and civic education
    • Contribute to work that may be viewed by audiences across the country
    • Collaborate on a project with strong historical and public-interest relevance
