Retail Shop Volunteers Needed for Charity's Closet at Success in Style in Savage Mill

Join our team and help create a welcoming shopping experience for our clients and customers at Charity’s Closet and Charity’s First Picks! We are looking for dependable, highly motivated volunteers who enjoy working in a fast-paced retail environment and are passionate about serving their community.

What You'll Do

Retail volunteers play a vital role in the daily operations of our stores. Responsibilities include:

• Opening and closing the store
• Operating the cash register
• Assisting clients and customers with coordinating outfits and finding items
• Maintaining an organized and welcoming sales floor
• Helping with merchandising and general store upkeep
• Supporting other store operations as needed

• Able to recognize what needs to be done and take initiative
• Comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

• Interested in making an ongoing commitment to our organization

Volunteer Commitment

After completing training, volunteers are asked to sign up for shifts at least 3–4 times per month. We are especially interested in volunteers who can commit to volunteering on a regular basis throughout the year.

Retail Shift Times

• Monday–Saturday: 10:00 AM–2:00 PM or 2:00 PM–6:00 PM
• Sunday: 11:00 AM–2:00 PM or 2:00 PM–6:00 PM

Shifts are typically 4 hours long.

Training Requirement

All new volunteers are required to complete training with one of our volunteer trainers. Training consists of two 4-hour shifts, during which you will learn how to volunteer in both our Processing Room and Retail departments.
