Description
Jesse Tree is seeking volunteers who will serve as our front-line workers in making sure people who call, text or walk-in receive needed assistance to stay housed!
Volunteers help take applications for Emergency Rent Assistance and Eviction Court Assistance for tenants at risk of eviction and homelessness approximately 1- 3 hours per week. Remote training available at Program Manager's discretion. Volunteers collect information for Jesse Tree’s website application for Jesse Tree services, connect people to community resources, and provide information and support regarding their housing situation.
Please let us know if you are fluent in additional languages or have any other skill sets you would like to utilize during your volunteer opportunity.

Expectations
- 18 years and older
- Be a friendly problem-solver
- Refer clients to other needed community programs and resources as needed
- Complete applications over-the-phone for individuals interested in applying for Jesse Tree’s programs
- Educate about Jesse Tree’s programs and partnerships
- Inform tenants about the Idaho eviction process
- Return voicemails, answer incoming calls, and respond to texts
- Remain committed to keeping our clients’ information confidential
- Communicate with other volunteers, Program Manager, and Volunteer Coordinator in a timely manner during shifts
