Volunteer in Tanzania.......
Give a Heart To Africa is a small NGO located in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region Tanzania. Our aim is to empower primarily adult women via education and to assist them with starting up their own business. We are a very hands-on NGO as without volunteers, our NGO would not exist.
We offer a 1-year course in English, Business and Vocational skills to 50 students and upon graduation we help those who performed the best to start up their own business
Every Friday we conduct Home Visits. We visit one of our students in their home, meet their family, learn more about their culture as well as tell them more about ours.... This makes for a unique cultural experience.
We have developed lesson plans, so no prior knowledge/experience is required. Volunteers stay with us from 3 weeks to 3 months or more and we truly appreciate the time they can give to our students as without volunteers we would not be able to offer free education to our students who so much desire to improve their standard of living
Our organization is 100% run by volunteers, the only paid staff we employ is our Tanzanian team (we do not have any paid staff in the West) so we truly rely on and appreciate help from international volunteers. Thank you for considering joining us.
