    Description

    Grant Writer Remote · 5–10 hours/month · Flexible

Healthful Stories is a Seattle-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit that conducts in-depth interviews with people living with chronic and complex health conditions. We exist to document the real patient journey: the delays, the barriers, and the turning points in a way that will have the greatest impact on those living with similar illnesses. Grants are a core part of how we sustain and expand that work.

As a Grant Writer, you will help us identify funding opportunities, develop compelling proposals, and support relationships with foundations that share our commitment to the patient voice.

    You bring:

    • Prior grant writing experience in a nonprofit or public health setting (student projects count)
    • Strong persuasive writing skills and the ability to translate mission into fundable narratives
    • Attention to detail and reliability with deadlines
    • Familiarity with health-focused or patient advocacy funders is a plus

What you'll gain: Real proposal-writing experience with a growing nonprofit at the intersection of patient advocacy and health - a strong credential for careers in nonprofit development, public health administration, or health policy. You'll work directly with our Executive Director and receive candid feedback on every submission.
