Opportunity Overview:
Little Haiti BK is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media & Marketing Communications Intern / Volunteer to join our team in-person.
This opportunity is ideal for students, recent graduates, or individuals passionate about marketing, communications, and social media who want hands-on experience while making a real impact in the community.
This role focuses primarily on marketing and content creation, with light administrative support.
Key Responsibilities:
Marketing & Social Media (Primary Focus):
- Create and post engaging content (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
- Assist with content planning and social media calendar
- Capture photos and videos at events and community activities
- Support marketing campaigns and promotions
- Design flyers and graphics using Canva
- Help grow engagement and online presence
Communications:
- Draft emails, newsletters, and announcements
- Support outreach to partners and local businesses
- Assist with storytelling and highlighting community impact
Administrative Support (Light Tasks):
- Organize content and marketing files
- Track basic engagement and campaign performance
- Assist with event coordination and setup when needed

Who You Are:
- Student, recent graduate, or aspiring professional in Marketing, Communications, PR, Media, or related field

- Organized, reliable, and willing to learn
- Comfortable working in-person and attending events
- Familiar with Canva, Instagram, TikTok (preferred)
Commitment:
- In-person in Brooklyn, NY
- Flexible schedule (10–15 hours per week preferred)
Compensation:
This is an unpaid internship / volunteer opportunity. Academic credit may be available if applicable.
