    About Us:

    Little Haiti BK is a Brooklyn-based nonprofit dedicated to uplifting Caribbean culture, supporting local businesses, and creating impactful community programs through education, events, and outreach.

    Opportunity Overview:

    Little Haiti BK is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media & Marketing Communications Intern / Volunteer to join our team in-person.

    This opportunity is ideal for students, recent graduates, or individuals passionate about marketing, communications, and social media who want hands-on experience while making a real impact in the community.

    This role focuses primarily on marketing and content creation, with light administrative support.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Marketing & Social Media (Primary Focus):

    • Create and post engaging content (Instagram, Facebook, etc.)
    • Assist with content planning and social media calendar
    • Capture photos and videos at events and community activities
    • Support marketing campaigns and promotions
    • Design flyers and graphics using Canva
    • Help grow engagement and online presence

    Communications:

    • Draft emails, newsletters, and announcements
    • Support outreach to partners and local businesses
    • Assist with storytelling and highlighting community impact

    Administrative Support (Light Tasks):

    • Organize content and marketing files
    • Track basic engagement and campaign performance
    • Assist with event coordination and setup when needed

    Who You Are:

    • Student, recent graduate, or aspiring professional in Marketing, Communications, PR, Media, or related field
    • Creative and passionate about social media and storytelling
    • Organized, reliable, and willing to learn
    • Comfortable working in-person and attending events
    • Familiar with Canva, Instagram, TikTok (preferred)

    Commitment:

    • In-person in Brooklyn, NY
    • Flexible schedule (10–15 hours per week preferred)

    Compensation:

    This is an unpaid internship / volunteer opportunity. Academic credit may be available if applicable.
