Bands (60s & 70s) Music

Senior Friendship Centers is seeking volunteer bands that play 60s and 70s music on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for our Activity Centers to provide musical entertainment to seniors.

SCHEDULE: Tuesday and Wednesday from 1:00 - 3:00pm.

LOCATION: Senior Friendship Center at 1888 Brother Geenen Way, Sarasota, FL 34236

SUPERVISOR: Senior Center Manager

REPORTS TO: Senior Center Manager

DUTIES:

Deliver engaging and interactive music, encouraging participation and fostering a positive environment. Engage with seniors to build rapport and create a welcoming atmosphere.

Encourage socialization and participation among seniors. Listen to feedback from participants to continuously improve the activities and address any concerns.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Have a genuine interest in enhancing the lives of seniors.
• Have strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate older adults.
• Be friendly, patient, flexible, able to handle change, and ability to work as part of a team.
• Ability to perform light physical tasks, such as setting up equipment if necessary.
• Ability to interact professionally with all staff, clients, volunteers, and community partners.
• Must possess cultural awareness and sensitivity for all individuals and groups.

TRAINING:

* Volunteer orientation will be provided.
