    Description

    Puppy Kindergarten Socializers

Join us in shaping the earliest experiences of future service dogs. Our Puppy Kindergarten program is seeking compassionate, reliable volunteers to support puppies ages 8–20 weeks through socialization, enrichment, and daily care at our training center.

    Role: Puppy Socializer (Kindergarten Program)

Puppy Socializers help our youngest trainees explore the world safely and confidently. This role blends gentle training, enrichment, and structured play.

    What You’ll Do

    • Take puppies on stroller walks in nearby neighborhoods and community environments
    • Provide positive socialization to new sights, sounds, people, and places
    • Engage puppies in age‑appropriate play and enrichment activities
    • Support early training foundations (name recognition, calm behavior, handling, etc.)
    • Help build confidence, curiosity, and resilience during their critical development window

    Requirements

    • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs
    • Valid driver’s license and willingness to drive up to 15 miles from the center
    • Comfort working with young puppies (wiggles, messes, and all)
    • Patience, consistency, and a positive attitude

    Schedule & Time Commitment

    • Opportunities available every day of the week
    • Flexible scheduling
    • Seeking a minimum of a 3-hour time commitment

    Why Volunteer With Us
