    Description

YWCA Union County is Looking to Build a Volunteer Base and Community Visibility

YWCA Union County is actively recruiting committed, reliable and sympathetic individuals to become volunteers interested in ending the cycle of domestic violence and creating real change in our communities. Volunteer positions available include:

    • Crisis Response Team
    • 24-Hour Hotline
    • Childcare Services
    • Administrative Support
    • Workforce Mentorship

YWCA Union County's free, virtual Domestic Violence Certification training program begins Wednesday, September 3rd and is open to all prospective volunteers. For more information on how to get involved, please contact Lana Sacks, Coordinator.

YWCA’s mission is eliminating racism, empowering women, and promoting peace, justice, freedom and dignity for all.

In 1978, in response to the growing concern about domestic violence in Union County, YWCA Union County established Project Protect to provide emergency shelter for battered women and their children. Today, they are recognized as the lead domestic violence agency in Union County, with a full range of services provided.
