    Description

Loyal Friends Pet Teams: Share Comfort, Joy, and Unconditional Love

Bring warmth, comfort, and smiles to patients through the healing power of animal companionship.

The Loyal Friends Pet Teams program connects certified therapy dogs and their handlers with hospice patients for in-person visits that offer emotional support, reduce loneliness, and brighten the day. These visits are often the highlight of a patient’s week, providing gentle affection, calm presence, and meaningful connection during a sensitive time in their lives.

This is a wonderful opportunity for certified therapy dog teams who want to give back to their community in a deeply impactful way. Volunteers must have a certified therapy dog and be comfortable participating in in-person visits within the Orange County area.

No medical experience is required—just compassion, patience, and a love for sharing the comfort of your loyal companion.
