Description
Trauma Speaks, Inc. is seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Mental Health Professional Content Reviewer to support our mission of delivering accurate, ethical, and accessible mental health education to the public.
This role is ideal for licensed or pre-licensed mental health professionals who care about making mental health information accurate, safe, and easy for people to understand. It’s for those who want to use their training beyond therapy or clinical work to support public education and awareness. It also fits professionals looking for a flexible volunteer role that helps reduce stigma and improve how mental health is talked about.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and fact-check mental health-related content developed by the content team, including: social media posts, podcast descriptions and supporting materials, blog articles, workshop presentations and PowerPoint slides
- Ensure all content is clinically accurate and evidence-informed, trauma-informed and ethically sound, culturally sensitive and inclusive, appropriate for public education and awareness use
- Provide clear, constructive, and professional feedback for revisions when needed
- Collaborate with the content team to improve clarity, accuracy, and impact of materials
- Support select projects where mental health expertise is required
- Occasionally assist with facilitating, presenting, or contributing to workshops, webinars, or hosted community events when needed.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must be a licensed or pre-licensed mental health professional
- Must have strong understanding of trauma-informed care principles
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide respectful, constructive feedback
- Commitment to ethical mental health practice and public education
Preferred Kills/ Qualities:
- Experience in mental health education, advocacy, or community outreach
- Familiarity with content creation or review processes
- Strong attention to detail
- Collaborative and solution-oriented mindset
- Passion for making mental health knowledge more accessible and stigma-free
- Ability to work independently within a flexible volunteer structure
