    Description

Nonprofit Development Coordinator, Community Website Engagement, or Community Outreach.

Hello! I hope you’re doing well. My name is Jeaneen Ruby Yslas, and I have the privilege of serving as the Executive Director of Shining In The Shadows, a nonprofit organization based in Colorado with 501(c)(3) status. Our mission is to uplift and empower the voices of incarcerated artists, musicians, and change-makers who inspire transformation. We offer a vibrant platform for creative expression that highlights their incredible talents and resilience while nurturing community, driving social change, and fostering understanding to connect society with those who are incarcerated. This volunteer role is fully remote, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home and enjoy a flexible schedule.

I am looking for a passionate volunteer preferably with proficient computer skills or skills in any of the following areas:

    Qualifications

      • Strong organizational and time-management skills
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
      • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
      • Basic knowledge of event planning and coordination
      • Proficiency with basic computer applications and email communication
      • Demonstrated passion for community service and volunteerism
      • Flexibility, reliability, and a proactive approach in completing tasks
      • Prior experience in nonprofit organizations is a plus
      • Website maintenance
      • Marketing
      • Public Relations
      • Field Ministry

We have recently launched our new website and expanded our services, presenting a unique opportunity for incarcerated individuals or those who have previously been incarcerated to make an impact. This volunteer role has the potential to evolve into a paid position within the next 45 to 90 days.
