    This is an "On-Call" position. Assistants will be scheduled at least one week in advance. Time commitments vary from 2 hours to up to 8 hours, depending on the event. You will travel with a staff member at all times.

    Description

    Education Assistant

    We are looking for a handful of education assistants for our education outreach programs. Must enjoy working with children and be physically able to lift and carry up to 30 lbs. Our education programs and parties are hands-on events - our lead educators need an assistant to travel to local events with them from EcoVivarium to share the animals with the public at their location. Individuals applying for this position must be very comfortable around reptiles, have at least some experience handling them, and be comfortable with public speaking and in working with children and adults of abilities.

    Training provided for the right candidates. Flexible hours weekdays and/or weekends.
