Inpatient Aide

Volunteers are needed for the Inpatient Aide position at Lakeland Regional Hospital. Responsibilities include assisting discharged patients by transporting them in wheelchairs to the exits, checking for expired products, responding to call lights for basic needs, replenishing the blanket warmer, and performing various departmental errands. The volunteer hours are flexible, available from 8 AM to 8 PM, Sunday through Saturday. Applicants must be at least 15 years old and are required to wear tan pants and closed-toe shoes, along with purchasing an LRH polo shirt for $20.

Patient Escort

Volunteering as a Patient Escort at Lakeland Regional Hospital involves assisting patients in navigating between departments. The hours of service are flexible, occurring Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 4 PM, depending on departmental needs. In addition to providing transportation, volunteers engage patients in friendly conversation, serving as a comforting presence beyond medical staff. Applicants must be at least 15 years old and are required to wear tan pants and closed-toe shoes, along with purchasing an LRH polo shirt for $20.

Way Finder

Way Finder volunteers at Lakeland Regional Hospital play a crucial role in assisting patients and visitors by guiding them to their desired locations within the expansive facility. These volunteers will be positioned at the main entrances, ready to offer support as needed. The volunteer hours are flexible, spanning from Sunday to Saturday between 8 AM and 6 PM. To participate, individuals must be at least 15 years old and are required to wear tan pants and closed-toe shoes, along with an LRH polo shirt, which can be purchased for $20.
