Volunteer Opportunity: Memory Bear Creator
Mission Healthcare Hospice is seeking a compassionate and creative volunteer to help honor the lives of our patients by creating Memory Bears for their loved ones.
Memory Bears are handcrafted keepsakes made from a patient's clothing or cherished fabric items, providing families with a meaningful reminder of their loved one after they have passed.
Volunteer Responsibilities:
- Sew and create Memory Bears from donated clothing or fabric items.
- Communicate with the Volunteer Coordinator regarding project timelines.
- Handle personal items with care, respect, and confidentiality.
- Create quality keepsakes that bring comfort to grieving families.
Qualifications:
- Experience with sewing and pattern construction.
- Access to a sewing machine and basic sewing supplies.
- Compassion, reliability, and attention to detail.
- Ability to volunteer remotely from home.
