    Description

Join The Realms of Asgard (TROA) – Help Us #StopTheStigma

The Realms of Asgard (TROA) is a registered nonprofit organization founded in 2017 with a clear and focused mission: to create a safe, inclusive space where people can connect, feel supported, and know they are not alone. Built around gaming, community, and mental health advocacy, TROA serves individuals from all walks of life, particularly those navigating mental health challenges.

The Volunteer Mental Health Advocate serves as a key representative of TROA’s core mission to support emotional wellness, mental health awareness, and community well-being. This role provides education, resources, and support to members who may be struggling, ensuring TROA remains a safe, respectful, and stigma-free environment.

The advocate works closely with leadership teams to promote understanding, compassion, and accessibility to mental health resources, both within TROA and through partnerships with external organizations. This position is central to TROA’s identity as a community that not only entertains but heals, uplifts, and protects its members.

    Primary Responsibilities:

      • Support & Outreach:
      • Offer confidential guidance and emotional support to community members seeking help or referrals for mental health concerns.
      • Education & Awareness:
      • Develop and share educational content on mental health topics, wellness tips, coping strategies, and advocacy efforts through TROA’s communication platforms.
      • Crisis Response:
      • Coordinate with leadership when urgent intervention or resource connection is required for a member in crisis.
      • Partnerships & Resources:
      • Build and maintain relationships with nonprofit organizations, mental health professionals, and support groups to expand TROA’s referral network.

    Event Involvement:

Participate in TROA mental health events, awareness campaigns, and community initiatives like the Walk Out of Darkness or Veteran Support Drives.
