    Description

    Support Survivors & Inspire Strength - Volunteer with Irockmyscars

    Irockmyscars is a registered 501(c)3 nonprofit dedicated to empowering individuals-especially youth and adults-who have overcome trauma, medical challenges, and personal adversity. Our mission is to help survivors embrace their scars-both visible and invisible-with strength, confidence, and community.

    We serve communities through two branches in Hampton Roads (Virginia Beach) and Nottoway County (Crewe), Virginia, with many virtual volunteer opportunities available as well.

    We are currently recruiting passionate, purpose-driven volunteers in the following areas:

    Youth Programming Support

    Help us create safe, encouraging spaces for youth to express themselves, heal, and grow.

    We're especially looking for support with Fall and Spring program planning, including:

    • Workshop facilitation
    • Mentoring (virtual and in-person)
    • Program development
    • Activity and event support (local to VA Beach and Crewe)

    Advisory Board Members

    Play a key role in guiding the vision and strategy of Irockmyscars. We're seeking individuals with experience in:

    • Nonprofit leadership
    • Mental health and wellness
    • Youth development
    • Community outreach
    • Fundraising and grant writing

    General Volunteer Roles (Virtual & Local)

    • Social media and content creation
    • Community outreach
    • Fundraising support
    • Peer support and survivor advocacy
    • Administrative and tech support

    Training & Support

    All volunteers receive orientation and ongoing support. No prior experience is required-we’ll equip you with the tools and guidance you need to succeed.
