Company Description

We are an early-stage nonprofit software collective building open source tooling and applications for grassroots and mission-aligned organizations. We're currently self-funded and seeking grants and 501c3 fiscal sponsorship.

Role Description

This is a part-time, remote-friendly volunteer opportunity contributing to our open source platform and tools. We use TypeScript/Node, and agentic AI coding workflows. You would handle light-to-medium difficulty enhancements to our existing platform.

We're a small, sporadically funded collective right now — when funding is available for a project, we pay out in ETH or DAI, and we're actively working toward making that funding less sporadic. This particular role is unfunded at the moment, so we're looking for someone genuinely motivated by the mission, who wants to help build toward the kind of funding that lets us bring people on in a paid capacity down the line.

Qualifications

• Comp Sci, EE bachelor's or higher, or advanced degree in another STEM discipline and a demonstrated portfolio of equivalent experience
• Proven record as an activist or volunteer for causes aligned with our mission
• Familiarity with agentic AI coding tools (e.g., Cursor, Claude Code)
• TypeScript / Node.js / web development experience
• Comfortable developing on Linux (or at least able to tweak existing Linux/bash scripts to run on MacOS)
