    Description

    The Friends of San Pedro Valley Park is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization (a 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation) founded in 1983 that is funded 100% by membership dues, donations and sales proceeds. The Board of Directors oversees and manages the funding, scheduling, and strategy for the events and support activities provided for the benefit of park visitors by the volunteers and members of the Friends of San Pedro Valley Park organization. Board member duties include:

    • Attend monthly board meetings to discuss and determine policy, events and direction of the organization
    • Facilitate congenial and responsible communication among board members and the general membership regarding any issues that may arise pertaining to the organization

    The position of Vice President is currently vacant. Responsibilities of the Board Vice President are:

    • Assists President and other Board members as requested
    • Fills in when the President is absent (e.g., board meetings)
    • Manages projects as needed and requested
