Description
Restore Hope is a small, volunteer-led nonprofit serving unhoused women in Washington DC and New York City through our Mentorship Program, online resource database, and community-building outreaches. Learn more about our work here. We are a faith-based organization but do not require specific beliefs from our volunteers or participants.
As we continue to grow, we are looking for a volunteer to help grow and improve our fundraising and development operations. The Development Coordinator will work with staff to design and implement fundraising strategies to attract new donors while maintaining relationships with existing supporters. Essential duties include:
- Enter and maintain donor information in Restore Hope's donor database (Training will be available; this is simple data entry via online forms)
- Brainstorm and support implementation of low-cost/no-cost fundraising ideas suited to a small, volunteer-run nonprofit
- Support outreach to attract new individual donors, including helping develop simple donor pitches and talking points
- Help shape Restore Hope's monthly giving program, including how we recruit, recognize, and engage with recurring donors
- Assist with donor communications such as thank-you notes and acknowledgment letters
