Through food distribution, youth and family engagement programs, and community-centered initiatives, we work to address food insecurity while creating opportunities for connection and empowerment.

As we grow, we are seeking volunteer grant writers to help us secure the funding necessary to expand and sustain our programs.

    Role Overview

We are looking for experienced and mission-aligned volunteer grant writers to research funding opportunities, draft proposals, and help build a strong and strategic grants pipeline. This role is ideal for someone who wants to apply their writing skills to meaningful, community-driven work.

    • Draft and edit grant proposals, LOIs, and supporting documents
    • Align funding opportunities with organizational priorities
    • Assist in developing grant calendars and submission timelines
    • Collaborate with leadership to gather program data and impact metrics

You Will Be a Strong Fit If You

    • Have strong writing, research, and editing skills, with the ability to translate program impact into clear, compelling narratives
    • Are detail-oriented and comfortable managing deadlines and multiple grant opportunities simultaneously
    • Have an interest in nonprofit development, philanthropy, or public-sector funding (prior grant experience is helpful but not required)
    • Are able to work independently while collaborating with leadership and cross-city peers in a virtual environment
    • Are organized, responsive, and comfortable working with shared documents and templates
    • Are motivated by mission-driven work and advancing equitable workforce and career-readiness outcomes
