    Description

    LoopTalk Program Development Coordinator (Volunteer)

    Remote | 20–25 Hours Weekly

    About LoopRoots Foundation

LoopRoots Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to reducing barriers for justice-impacted individuals, survivors of domestic violence and human trafficking, underserved families, and individuals experiencing crisis or instability. Through transportation assistance, housing support, workforce development, food access, wellness services, and community resource navigation, we help individuals and families achieve long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

    Position Overview

LoopRoots Foundation is seeking a passionate and innovative volunteer to help design and launch LoopTalk, a new peer support and emotional support initiative.

LoopTalk is being developed as a non-clinical support program that provides individuals with a safe, supportive space to connect with trained volunteers, peer supporters, and community members when they simply need someone to talk to.

This is not a crisis line or therapy service. Instead, LoopTalk is intended to reduce isolation, provide emotional support, encourage community connection, and help individuals access additional resources when needed.

The selected volunteer will play a key role in helping build the program from the ground up and will work directly with the Executive Director and leadership team to develop the program's structure, partnerships, policies, volunteer framework, and launch strategy.

    Primary Responsibilities

    • Research existing warm-line, peer support, and emotional support programs
    • Develop recommendations for the LoopTalk service model
    • Create program policies, procedures, and operating guidelines
    • Design volunteer recruitment, screening, onboarding, and retention processes
    • Develop volunteer training materials and support resources
    • Assist with call routing, intake, documentation, and escalation workflows
    • Research technology platforms and phone system integrations
    • Identify potential mental health, peer support, and community partners
    • Build referral pathways for clients requiring additional support
    • Develop quality assurance and program evaluation measures
    • Assist with pilot launch planning and implementation
    • Support future expansion planning and sustainability efforts

    Desired Qualifications

    • Experience in peer support, mental health, behavioral health, recovery support, social work, psychology, counseling, nonprofit management, public health, or related fields
    • Experience developing programs, volunteer initiatives, or community-based services preferred
    • Strong organizational and project management skills
    • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
    • Ability to work independently in a remote environment
    • Passion for supporting vulnerable and underserved populations

    Preferred Experience

    • Warm-line or emotional support programs
    • Peer support services
