    YRES is a not-for-profit organization that provides individuals in York Region and beyond with free and affordable educational resources in a safe and supportive environment that inspires, motivates, and helps set the foundation for personal growth.

    About this opportunity:

    York Region Educational Services (YRES) is hosting a volunteer fair on April 25, 2026! In collaboration with Ignite Fair, YRES will be bringing together a variety of organizations and booths to connect community members with exciting volunteer opportunities.

    Location: YRES Markham office (3100 Steeles Ave East) + Thornhill Community Centre + Virtual

    Pre-event shifts: 2h+ shifts Sunday-Thursday, minimum 20 hours commitment

    During-event shifts: Saturday, April 25th 2026 at 1:30pm-6:30PM

    After-event shifts: 2h+ shifts Sunday-Thursday, minimum 10 hours commitment

    Responsibilities:

    • Supporting the event promotion, including (but not limited to) graphic design, video creation, blog writing, and data analysis
    • Assisting with booth setup and takedown and monitoring the event entrances and exits
    • Tallying event attendance and signing attendees in
