About The Social Work Ladies Collective
The Social Work Ladies Collective (SWLC) is a growing 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting social workers, mental health professionals, and helping professionals through wellness experiences, professional development, networking events, and community-centered programming.
Our mission is to create spaces where those who care for others can also experience connection, restoration, and community. Through signature events, strategic partnerships, and leadership initiatives, we are building a movement that helps helping professionals thrive both personally and professionally.
As we continue to grow, we are expanding our Leadership Team and seeking a passionate professional to help strengthen SWLC's fundraising, sponsorship, and community partnership efforts.
Internship Overview
The Fundraising & Community Partnerships Manager is a volunteer leadership position that plays a key role in helping SWLC grow its community impact and long-term sustainability.
Working closely with the Founder & Executive Director, this individual will help lead sponsorship, fundraising, and partnership initiatives that support SWLC's programs, events, and strategic growth. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys relationship-building, community engagement, and nonprofit development and wants to make a meaningful impact while serving on the leadership team of a growing nonprofit organization.
This is a flexible, project-based volunteer role that can easily be balanced alongside full-time employment and other commitments. Most work can be completed on your own schedule, with occasional virtual meetings and participation in SWLC events.
Internship Responsibilities
The Fundraising & Community Partnerships Manager will:
- Develop and implement sponsorship and community partnership strategies to support SWLC's mission
- Identify and cultivate relationships with businesses, corporations, foundations, and community organizations
- Research and pursue sponsorship, grant, and fundraising opportunities
- Prepare and submit sponsorship requests and partnership proposals
- Help secure financial sponsorships and in-kind donations for programs and events
- Build and maintain relationships with sponsors, donors, and community partners
- Collaborate with the Founder & Executive Director on fundraising campaigns and organizational growth initiatives
- Represent SWLC at networking events, community meetings, and partnership opportunities as available
- Attend SWLC signature events to support sponsor engagement, relationship-building, and organizational visibility
- Participate in monthly Leadership Team meetings and collaborate on organizational planning
- Support additional fundraising and partnership initiatives as the organization continues to grow
Qualifications
We're looking for someone who has:
- Experience in fundraising, sponsorships, partnerships, business development, sales, nonprofit development, or community engagement
- Strong relationship-building and networking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong organizational and project management abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team
- Creativity, initiative, and a passion for community impact
- Alignment with SWLC's mission and values
Additional Information
- Approximately 2–5 volunteer hours per week
- Flexible schedule with work completed independently
- Monthly Leadership Team meeting (typically held virtually on Sundays from 11:00 AM–12:30 PM)
- Attendance at SWLC signature events and networking opportunities as available
Leadership Team Member Expectations
Leadership Team members are expected to:
- Actively contribute to the growth and strategic direction of SWLC
- Collaborate with fellow leadership team members on organizational initiatives
- Serve as an ambassador for the organization within the community
- Support fundraising, sponsorship, and partnership efforts throughout the year
- Make an annual personal financial contribution to SWLC at a level that is personally meaningful, demonstrating a shared commitment to the organization's mission
