    Responsibility

The Volunteer Website Content Assistant (WordPress) will support MSU by keeping website information accurate, current, and easy for the community to access.

This role helps ensure our website remains a reliable resource for patients, caregivers, and professionals.

The position may also provide limited administrative or operational support to the Outreach & Engagement Team Lead or other leadership members as needed.

    Principle Duties

    • Maintain and update all MSU website pages and content using a WordPress platform.
    • Post and edit event listings, schedules, announcements, and program updates to ensure information is accurate and current.
    • Review website links, dates, and resources regularly to remove outdated content and correct errors.
    • Assist with updating website calendars, scheduling tools, or plugins as needed for community events.
    • Proofread website text and formatting to ensure clarity, consistency, and alignment with MSU branding.
    • Identify and report technical issues, broken links, or website concerns to the Outreach & Engagement Team Lead.

    • Background or experience updating and maintaining website content in WordPress (required).
    • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
    • Comfort using online tools, calendars, and digital content systems.
    • Good written communication and proofreading skills.
    • Dependability and ability to meet small weekly deadlines in a remote environment.
    • Estimated time commitment: approximately 2–5 hours per month.

    Benefits

    • Flexible scheduling and remote work environment
    • Access to training and skill development opportunities
    • Supportive, collaborative, and inclusive team culture
    • Experience building professional skills

Do you have time and want to give back by using your skills in website content and digital organization? We are looking for a self-starter who works well independently and in a team environment. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with web-based platforms, and interested in helping ensure information is clear, organized, and accessible to our community.
