Volunteer Dance Assistants Needed – Earn Community Service Hours

Hello,

We are currently seeking Volunteer Assistants to support our dance classes for preschool and elementary-aged children. This is a wonderful opportunity to earn community service hours while working in a fun, creative, and supportive environment.

Volunteers will assist with classes such as Disney Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Cheer, and Hip-Hop. We are a nonprofit dance center and thrive on community involvement and volunteerism. We kindly ask that volunteers commit to at least 6 months, or ideally one year, if possible.

Class Times Available:

• Tuesdays: 4:45–5:30 PM – Cheer & Dance
• Thursdays:
• 4:30–5:15 PM – Disney Creative Ballet
• 5:30–6:15 PM – Jazz
• 6:15–7:00 PM – Disney Creative Tap/Ballet
• Fridays: 5:00–6:45 PM – Pre-Ballet
• Saturdays: 12:45–1:30 PM – Preschool Princess Ballet/Jazz
• Sundays: 10:00 AM–12:50 PM – Preschool Ballet/Jazz and more

Volunteer Responsibilities Include:

• Assisting teachers during class
• Helping children learn basic dance skills, balance, rhythm, and simple routines
• Encouraging participation, turn-taking, and following instructions
• Taking attendance and helping maintain a positive class environment
• Sanitizing props, dry mopping floors after class, and resetting the room
• Assisting with fundraising activities, special events, and recitals as needed

We are a nonprofit dance center located in Castro Valley, CA, dedicated to providing arts education, community engagement, and meaningful volunteer opportunities.
