Description:
Volunteer drivers may provide transportation to the grocery store, adult day programs, medical and personal appointments, or errands for clients within Waterloo Region for whom public transportation and other forms of transportation are inaccessible.
Tasks:
- Escorting clients safely to and from their homes to their preferred grocery store
- Helping the client around the grocery store
- Tasks can include
- pushing the cart,
- lifting heavier items,
- reaching items too high or too low for the client to reach
- Tasks can include
- Maintain confidentiality regarding client information
- Be punctual and dependable in picking up the client at the scheduled time
- Flexible time commitment - you let us know when you are available from week to week
- Keep the scheduling team informed regarding availability and immediately report any problems and/or concerns you may have
Requirements:
- Access to a safe and reliable vehicle
- A valid G class driver's license
- Minimum of 1 million dollars in liability car insurance
