Are You Bilingual and Looking for a Meaningful Way to Give Back?
Details
Description
If you are bilingual and looking for a rewarding volunteer opportunity, consider becoming a hospice volunteer with Sutter Care at Home Saratoga, which serves patients in Santa Clara County in their homes and nursing facilities.
At Hospice of the Valley, hospice volunteers make a meaningful difference by offering their time, compassion, and companionship to patients and their families. No prior experience is necessary. Volunteers receive training and ongoing support to help meet the physical, emotional, spiritual, and practical needs of those receiving hospice care.
Volunteering can take many forms, including sitting with a patient, listening with compassion, playing music, reading a book, helping create a scrapbook, or providing companionship. Volunteers may also offer caregivers a much-needed break, assist with routine tasks and errands, and provide a comforting presence during a challenging time.
While volunteers do not provide clinical or personal care, their kindness, time, and support can bring comfort and reassurance to both patients and their loved ones.
