Description
Are you looking for a meaningful and engaging addition to your summer? Institute for Educational Advancement’s Academy enrichment program is looking for volunteers to support its bright and curious summer students in the following ways:
- Supervise break times between classes to ensure students stay safe as they form friendships and have fun
- Act as a teacher’s assistant by working directly with students who need additional support, prepping supplies, etc.
- Maintain the Learning Center by organizing supplies and helping with daily upkeep
Because Academy offers enrichment for gifted and advanced students, its population is unique in its needs and strengths. Volunteers will gain valuable experience working with gifted and neurodiverse learners. Applicants should enjoy working with children age 6-14, be attentive and observant, and take initiative to step in where they see a need. Experience with STEM topics is a plus, but not required.
