    Description

    Enjoy sewing? Create Activity Mats for Dementia Patients

    Capital City Hospice is seeking volunteers with sewing skills and some creativity to make Activity Mats for dementia patients. These mats allow patients to enjoy touching, pulling, zipping, twisting, tying, untying, and a myriad of other tactile experiences right on their laps. Directions & patterns available.

    Join our team of caring, fun, dedicated volunteers! Volunteers are required to attend an orientation, have background check, TB & drug screenings, and fingerprinting (all at Capital City's expense).

    Handmade fidget activity mats are individually made by volunteers at their homes. Staff to deliver to our patients.
