Create Smiles and Bring Peace — Become a Hospice Pet Visitor!

Hospice volunteers make an incredible difference by offering comfort, connection, and compassion to individuals nearing the end of life. At Optage Hospice, the service division of Presbyterian Homes and Services, we focus on providing dignity, peace, and personalized support to people at the end of life.

Do you have a gentle, well-behaved pet who loves people?

Your furry friend could bring immeasurable joy and calm to our patients! Our hospice pet visitors offer soothing companionship, spark memories, reduce anxiety, and bring genuine smiles to faces that need them most.

    No therapy certification required!

We provide full training and support through our Optage Hospice volunteer program. If your pet is friendly, well-mannered, and enjoys being around others, we’d love to meet you both!

    • Support from our hospice team
    • Guidance on visiting patients with dementia

    You Provide:
