    Volunteers are interviewed and matched with a CAREGIVERS client, based on their interests, work experience, background, personality, etc. Volunteers are asked to set aside 2 to 4 hours per week to assist their elderly friend.

    Bring Some Magic While Making a Friend

    The City of Oxnard RSVP program, in partnership with the nonprofit CAREGIVERS: Volunteers Assisting the Elderly, provides essential support to frail, homebound seniors in our community. You can be the one to bring some sparkle into their life! The need has never been greater as the senior population continues to grow and our elderly residents become more socially isolated.

    If you are looking for a deeply rewarding volunteer experience, this is your chance to make a life-changing impact! As a volunteer, you will:

    ✅ Provide companionship and assistance to a homebound elderly person

    ✅ Use your unique skills and talents to make a difference

    ✅ Build meaningful connections and friendships

    ✅ Set your own flexible schedule

    ✅ Work independently with full support from our team

    ✅ Be appreciated and valued for your service

    Checkin at least weekly with your new friend to do the types of things neighbors have always done - take care of each other.
