    Description

01/17 Native Planting at Dirksen Nature Park

Join Tualatin Riverkeepers to connect with nature and learn more about the importance of native plants!

Join us to plant native plants at Dirksen Nature Park in Tigard! This work supports wildlife habitat, water quality, soil health, and human connection throughout the park.

On this day, we'll plant Oregon white oak, ponderosa pine, quaking aspen and install tree protection in Dirksen Nature Park. Water resistant boots (ideally rubber boots) are definitely recommended! We'll be planting in a muddy area, so you will get muddy!

Snacks, coffee, tools, safety gear and instruction provided. This park is accessible via the 76 Trimet bus line.

Thank you to our partners from Ash Creek Forest Management, City of Tigard, and Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District for supporting this project!
