Torrance Memorial Hospice is looking for volunteers who are willing to be part of a Torrance Memorial Hospice volunteer program called Petal Project, where we craft and deliver beautifully arranged floral bouquets which are comprised of donations from Trader Joe’s, to current patients/families as well as our bereaved. We have a need for people who are willing to pick up arrangements from our Hospice office in Torrance and make deliveries in the South Bay Area. Arrangements are available to be delivered on a weekly basis, with Wednesdays after 12:30 being the most optimal day. Petal Project has been running for one year with continual positive feedback from our volunteers, staff, and recipients. Driving routes will be laid out for you in the most sensible way possible, as we value your time. Our hospice staff also make deliveries, however, we often find ourselves in need of additional support, so this is the perfect volunteer role for someone who wants to bring beauty to others in a time of sadness for 1-2 hrs per week (or every other week). Please reach out for more information if you are interested.
