    Description

Remote Hospice Bereavement Volunteers support the families and loved ones of patients who have passed away on hospice. Our bereavement volunteers reach out by phone to the surviving loved ones around the 6 and 12 month anniversaries to offer comfort by listening, creating a safe environment for someone to voice their grief, and offering additional grief support to those who are struggling. Training is provided to ensure our bereavement volunteers feel comfortable engaging and supporting those in their grief journey and to provide the best care and support possible.
