High School Student Group Volunteer Service Opportunities

Urban Development Corporation (UDC) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for Detroit residents.

We are trying to bring stabilization, revitalization and sustainability to a 9-block area on the Northeast Side of Detroit. Currently, UDC is actively engaged in hosting inner-city Detroit Neighborhood Clean-up Blitzes and welcome participation from "groups of energetic young high school students" from across the Metropolitan Detroit area to aid in our efforts.

We are encouraging groups of young adults to make a party out of volunteering by inviting family, friends and other classmates to join with you for a couple of hours of community service. Have a little party while giving back and making a difference in the life of others and satisfy requirements for completion of community service hours for school. There is much that needs to be done to improve our targeted area and we could utilize many helping hands from high school students. This is a great opportunity to satisfy required community service hours to graduate from high School.

UDC will provide all tools needed for event. All activities will be done with social distancing and wearing of face mask.
