Volunteer From Home — Help Restore Forgotten Histories
The Descendant Community of Milwaukee County Grounds Cemeteries, Inc. seeks remote volunteers to help obtain and/or transcribe archival records into Ancestor memorials.
Volunteers assist with historical burial records and death certificates to help descendants and family historians reconnect with forgotten family members.
Flexible schedule. No experience required. Ideal for those interested in genealogy, history, archives, or community service.

How to Volunteer for This Opportunity
Volunteers should have basic computer skills and strong attention to detail. Work is completed remotely on a flexible schedule and includes transcription of burial records, death certificates, and other historical documents into public Ancestor memorials.
Access to and familiarity with Ancestry, FamilySearch, and Find a Grave is required. Experience with genealogy, archives, or historical research is welcome. Guidance and project direction will be provided.
Interested volunteers are encouraged to briefly share any relevant interests or experience when responding.
