    Description

9/19 HABITAT RESTORATION Sno-King Watershed Council + Mid Sound (in Kenmore) - ƛ̕ax̌ʷadis Park

Join Sno-King Watershed Council in partnership with the City of Kenmore, Confluence Environmental Company, and Mid Sound Fisheries Enhancement Group for habitat restoration at ƛ̕ax̌ʷadis Park on Saturday, September 19 from 11 AM to 2 PM.

    Location

ƛ̕ax̌ʷadis (Tl' awh ah dees) Park

    7515 Northeast 175th Street

    Kenmore, WA 98028

    What to Expect

We will meet you on-site on Saturday morning. Please arrive at 11 am or slightly earlier. We will circle up on plaza behind the restrooms before walking to our restoration areas together. If you do arrive late, walk into the park to find us. You'll be able to see us from the boardwalk!

Our main activity during the event will be removing invasive plants. Tools used will primarily include shovels, loppers, and hand clippers .

Please be aware that to access one of the restoration areas you will need to climb up and down an approximately 4 foot ladder to get from the boardwalk to the ground. There will be areas of the park to weed that will not require use of a ladder.

We will gather tools, clean up, and have a closing circle before everyone departs at 2 pm.

    Weather and gear

Please wear layers that will keep you comfortable in the expected weather and wear close-toed, waterproof boots or shoes. Waterproof boots will allow you to navigate in the wettest areas. If your footgear won't allow you to get wet, come anyway and we'll find drier areas for you to save plants!

    Please bring

    A water bottle

    We will provide

    Tools and gloves

    Light snacks

A water jug to refill water bottles

Thank you for considering helping us take care of local salmon and their habitat! We look forward to seeing you at ƛ̕ax̌ʷadis on 7/12!
