    Description

Step Into Something New: A Life-Changing Volunteer Experience.

Overview: Planet Aid, in partnership with Richmond Vale Academy (RVA), invites individuals who are ready for a fresh start to join the People 2 People Volunteer Program. This 10-month immersive experience offers the chance to step away from the routine and make a meaningful impact on global challenges like poverty, inequality, and climate change. Through hands-on training and real-world community work, participants gain practical skills, broaden their perspective, and contribute to long-term sustainable development. It’s an opportunity to reset, grow, and discover your next direction while working alongside local communities to create lasting change.

    Qualifications:

    • 18+ years old
    • Ready for a fresh start: Ideal for individuals who are ready to step into meaningful work and contribute to global challenges like poverty alleviation, gender equality, sustainable agriculture, and climate action.
    • Eager to learn and grow: Open to building new skills, experiencing different cultures, and taking on hands-on challenges in a supportive environment.
    • Adaptable and resilient: Comfortable navigating new situations, living in a team setting, and embracing change as part of personal and professional growth.
    • All backgrounds welcome: No previous experience required — this program is a great fit for anyone interested in global development and looking to explore a new path or direction.

    Program Structure:

    Phase 1: Training (3 Months)

Begin your journey with three months of immersive training that introduces you to global development, cultural understanding, and sustainable practices. This phase blends hands-on learning with practical workshops designed to help you build valuable skills — including teamwork, community living, leadership, and project management. It’s a supportive space to reset, learn, and step confidently into something new.

Phase 2: Project Work (6 Months)

For six months, you’ll live and work in your project country, putting your newly developed skills into action. You’ll collaborate on long-term community projects in areas like education, health, sustainable agriculture, and climate resilience. Phase 2 is where you gain meaningful, real-world experience — the kind that strengthens your confidence, broadens your perspective, and adds depth to your next career step.

    Phase 3: Reflection & Evaluation (1 Month)

Your final month focuses on reflection and growth. You’ll look back on your impact, evaluate lessons learned and gain clarity on how this experience can shape your future. It’s your time to reflect on everything you’ve gained — personally, professionally, and globally — as you prepare for your next chapter.
