Position Summary
CMMB is seeking a volunteer to support fundraising, donor engagement, partnership development, and strategic outreach initiatives. The volunteer will play an important role in strengthening relationships with private organizations, companies, foundations, and individual donors to expand the organization’s impact, sustainability, and long-term community programs.
The ideal candidate should have previous experience working with nonprofit organizations or NGOs, particularly in areas related to fundraising, donor relations, business development, or partnership management. This role requires someone proactive, organized, and capable of developing strategic action plans to identify new funding opportunities and maintain strong communication with existing supporters.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Identify and engage potential funders including foundations, USG, private organizations, and individual contributors
- Support donor relationship management and maintain communication with partners and sponsors
- Identify the needs of the programs in Peru and respond to funding opportunities.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between fundraising activities and the organization's needs.
- Work with the field-based teams to ensure multi-sector and multi-level involvement and participation of CMMB in forums and platforms that enhance access to the potential funding opportunities.
- Familiarity and interest in public and community health, or preventative medicine
- Conduct landscape analysis of Peruvian focused funding opportunities which present realistic and aligned opportunities to develop the CMMB Peru funding portfolio.
- Help to develop the major donor strategy within Peru.
Qualifications & Skill Requirements
- Fluent written and spoken Spanish.
- Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in fundraising, donor relations, business development, partnership management, or nonprofit program support
- Experience working with or knowledge of USG-supported cooperating agencies such as USAID and CDC, and international counterpart organizations in other global regions.
- Experience working in the global health funding landscape of South America.
- Experience in fundraising campaigns, donor engagement, sponsorship development, and resource mobilization strategies
- Excellent communication, networking, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Existing professional connections or networks within nonprofit, humanitarian, healthcare, or development sectors is considered a strong advantage
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM platforms, or donor management systems is preferred
