    Description

    Communication Volunteer

    We are looking for a part-time volunteer to support our communications efforts by helping turn our work into clear, engaging content.

    This role focuses on maintaining a consistent presence across our channels and supporting storytelling that connects with donors, partners, and our broader community.

    Key tasks:

    Receive, Draft and schedule social media content. (assuming staff is delivering the stories)

    Support updates to website and newsletters

    Organize photos, stories, and program information

    Help document impact stories and testimonials. Translate communication practices into simple, practical tools for grassroots organization leaders

    Support or co-facilitate basic trainings or knowledge-sharing spaces on communication

    We’re looking for someone who:

    Writes clearly and simply : Spanish and/or English

    Is organized and reliable with deadlines

    Can work independently with light guidance

    Is interested in social impact and community work

    Understands Latin American culture, community dynamics, and authentic storytelling in nonprofit and grassroots contexts.

    Commitment: ~5 hours per week (flexible schedule)

    Success in this role looks like:

    Consistent weekly content published across priority channels

    At least 1 documented story or testimonial per month

    Organized and accessible content (photos, drafts, materials) for team use

    Clear, on-time communication and follow-through on agreed tasks. At least 1 documented communication tool or guide adapted for grassroots leaders per month

    Contribution to at least 1 knowledge-sharing or training moment (as needed)
