DESCRIPTION — Responsibilities, Qualifications, and Other Details

A meal is more than food. It can mean dignity, belonging, connection, and knowing someone cares.

At The Gracefull Table Community Kitchen, we provide free, freshly prepared meals through welcoming, restaurant-style community dining experiences in Garland, Texas.

As our organization grows, we want to understand not only how many meals we serve, but how our hospitality is making a difference in the lives of our guests.

We're looking for a thoughtful, detail-oriented volunteer to help us document our impact, collect feedback, and improve the guest experience.

    Responsibilities:

    • Help develop simple guest feedback surveys.
    • Track meals served and volunteer participation.
    • Organize monthly community meal data.
    • Assist with gathering voluntary guest feedback.
    • Summarize results and identify opportunities for improvement.
    • Prepare basic impact reports for leadership.
    • Help document program accomplishments for grants and donor communications.
    • Assist with gathering guest testimonials when appropriate consent has been obtained.
    • Recommend improvements to the overall guest experience.

    Qualifications:

    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
    • Comfortable using spreadsheets or basic data tracking tools.
    • Good written communication skills.
    • Compassionate and respectful approach to working with diverse populations.
    • Experience in research, data collection, customer service, or nonprofit administration helpful but not required.
    • Commitment to protecting guest privacy and confidentiality.

    Other Details:

This is an unpaid volunteer opportunity. Much of the work can be completed remotely. Optional participation in monthly First Sunday community meals is encouraged.

Guest feedback must always be voluntary and handled respectfully.

    Why This Opportunity Matters:

Numbers help us measure how many people we've reached. Feedback helps us understand how well we're serving them.

Your work will help strengthen our programs, communicate our impact to supporters, and improve the experience of every guest.
